On October 16, 2017, Santos Martinez-Fuentes, 24, was fatally shot in a carjacking incident in south Houston. The shooting occurred in the 6800 block of London around 2 p.m. during which two victims were targeted—Martinez-Fuentes, who died at the scene, and a second individual who sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
