Jerry Wayne Gurney

On a late winter evening in Nashville, Tennessee, the life of Jerry Wayne Gurney, a 42-year-old male, was tragically cut short. On February 29, 2008, at approximately 10:15 p.m., Gurney was in front of Glenview Elementary School in the Hermitage Precinct when he was fatally shot. Eyewitnesses reported that Gurney was confronted by an unidentified Black male, which led to a physical altercation. During the struggle, two gunshots were fired, and the assailant fled the scene.
