In the early morning hours of a crisp autumn day in Memphis, the life of Anthony Bernard Rogers was tragically cut short. On October 17, 2011, the 44-year-old African American man, known affectionately by his nickname '6-9,' was found on the front porch of a residence at 2871 Clearbrook. Responding to a call about a shooting at approximately 1:00 AM, police discovered Rogers with gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
