In the summer of 2012, the life of 17-year-old Jemarcius White, a Black / African American male, was tragically cut short by an act of violence in his hometown of Memphis, Tennessee. On the evening of July 8th, in the Cooper-Young neighborhood, a vehicle drove by a residence on the 2000 block of Felix Avenue and an occupant opened fire.
