Erano Santos, a 33-year-old Filipino nurse, was tragically killed on July 20, 2013, in a violent incident that occurred outside his apartment at the Stonebridge Crossing Apartments in Cordova, a suburb of Memphis, Tennessee. Santos, who had moved to the United States from the Philippines in 2012, was working at Health South Hospital in Memphis.
