In the summer of 2017, a wave of violence was sweeping through Memphis, Tennessee, with a notable increase in homicides plaguing several neighborhoods. It was against this backdrop of rising crime that the life of Kenneth Sprague, a 38-year-old Caucasian male, was tragically cut short.
