Tannica Pruitt, a 34-year-old African American woman, was fatally shot on August 20, 2017, in North Memphis, Tennessee. She was a mother of two and was attacked on the porch of a home located in the 1400 block of Decatur Street. After sustaining multiple gunshot wounds, she was transported to the Regional Medical Center, where she later succumbed to her injuries.
