In the late hours of a Friday night in June 2008, Troy White, a 32-year-old man from McKees Rocks, was enjoying time with friends in the Elmore Square courtyard in Pittsburgh's Hill District. Having been released from prison only about three weeks prior, the evening of June 6th was a return to a life of freedom.
