In the summer of 2008, a 17-year-old named James Lewis was violently killed in Philadelphia, another young life lost to the city's ongoing struggle with gun violence. On the night of June 16th, on the 3100 block of Rorer Street in the Kensington neighborhood, Lewis was shot in the back of the neck. The incident occurred at approximately 10:21 p.m.
