In the early morning hours of a February Saturday in 2009, tragedy struck on a South Philadelphia street. Jermaine Julius, a 29-year-old male from West Philadelphia, was on the 500 block of Moyamensing Avenue when he was shot multiple times. The incident occurred at approximately 1:04 a.m., shattering the nighttime quiet of the neighborhood.
