In the winter of 2011, a wave of violence swept through Philadelphia, leaving several families to mourn the loss of their loved ones. Among them was the family of 25-year-old Damon Rush. On a Saturday night in late January, Rush was seated in the passenger side of a car at the intersection of Tyson Avenue and Roosevelt Boulevard. It was in that vehicle that his life was abruptly ended.
