David Ramos, a 22-year-old man, was tragically killed in a shooting on January 7, 2007, in San Ysidro, San Diego. The incident occurred at the Economy Inn, where Ramos and two companions were inside a second-floor motel room when someone knocked on the door. As one of the individuals inside checked through the peephole, the person outside began firing into the room. Ramos was struck and died from his injuries soon after, while another man, also shot, fled to Tijuana for medical treatment.
