On June 6, 2015, Barry Jermai Hobbs, a 43-year-old resident of Collingsdale, PA, was shot multiple times while in Philadelphia's 2300 block of Oakford Street. The Philadelphia Police responded to the scene at approximately 2:06 p.m., finding Barry suffering from his injuries. He was immediately transported to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center, where he later succumbed to his wounds.
