Lavar Sass, aged 29, was shot and killed on the evening of July 11, 2015, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The incident took place on the 3400 block of Crowell Street around 10:56 p.m., when police officers responded to reports of gunshots. Upon arrival, they found Lavar lying in the street, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to his arm, chest, back, and side. Despite the quick response, Lavar was pronounced dead by medical personnel at 11:07 p.m.
