In the early morning hours of Wednesday, August 31, 2016, the quiet of Fernhill Park in the Germantown section of Philadelphia was broken by a grim discovery. The body of 20-year-old Sabree Jones, a Black male, was found by Philadelphia Police officers at approximately 6:15 a.m. near the tennis courts on the 400 block of West Abbottsford Road. He was unresponsive, having sustained multiple gunshot wounds. Paramedics who arrived at the scene confirmed that Mr. Jones was deceased.
