On January 19, 1999, 24-year-old Veronica Sue James was found murdered in Southeast Portland, Oregon. Her body was discovered in a suspicious canvas bag by a neighbor walking past a vacant house on SE Taylor Street. Authorities responded to the call and found that Veronica had suffered traumatic head injuries. An autopsy confirmed that her death was the result of these injuries.
