On May 18, 2012, Janica Shoals, a 50-year-old woman from Oklahoma City, was found dead in her apartment at the Ridgeview complex. Her body was discovered by her daughter, who, along with a neighbor, notified the authorities. Shoals had been shot in the head and shoulder, and her death was quickly ruled a homicide.

Investigators soon identified Ryan Cody Gothard, also known as "Whiteboy," as the prime suspect. Shoals was known to use and sell prescription drugs, and Gothard had been one ...Read More
