On July 14, 2013, 28-year-old Brad Lyles was shot and killed outside the Western Pines apartment complex in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Lyles was found lying in a doorway after being ambushed and shot in the abdomen. He was visiting family at the time, including his twin brother, who discovered him after hearing gunshots. Despite efforts to help, Lyles died shortly after being transported to a hospital.
