On April 3, 2015, Christopher Tyler, age 31, died after suffering a heart attack, initially believed to be caused by natural causes. However, it was later determined that his death was a result of a domestic altercation with his brother the day prior. Tyler passed away five days later at a Tulsa hospital. Following an investigation and the medical examiner's report, his death was reclassified as a homicide. This marked Tulsa’s 36th homicide of the year in 2015.
