On March 7, 2016, 82-year-old Ikuko George was found dead inside her Oklahoma City home after police conducted a welfare check at her residence on Southwest 54th Street. Her body showed signs of trauma consistent with homicide, but no arrests were made at the time. The discovery of George’s murder shocked the community, as she was well-known and described as a kind woman who lived alone.
