On June 28, 1971, 12-year-old Michael Dean Klitch was reported missing from Grandview Heights, Ohio. He was last seen around 2:10 p.m. leaving his home on Cambridge Boulevard to go practice tennis. Michael's mother arrived at the tennis courts on West Goodale Boulevard at around 3:40 p.m. to pick him up, but he was nowhere to be found. This marked the beginning of an intensive search by both law enforcement and the local community for the missing boy.
