On August 10, 1973, 47-year-old Joseph McShane was found fatally stabbed in Akron, Ohio. His body was discovered in a field near the railroad tracks on North Walnut Street. Authorities believe that McShane was likely killed at a different location and then moved to the field. The Akron Police Department responded to the scene, but despite their investigation, few leads were found regarding the identity of the perpetrator or the motive behind the attack.
