A man is fatally shot during a memorial
On July 14, 2016, Eric Gaiter Jr., a 22-year-old resident of Akron, Ohio, was fatally shot during a memorial vigil at Lane Field, located on Moeller Avenue in Akron. The incident occurred at approximately 10:40 p.m., as people gathered to honor the memory of Ronnie Travis, who had been killed on the same date in 2014.
