Paula Payne, a 20-year-old from Dayton, Ohio, was tragically murdered on August 9, 1977. Paula was a nature enthusiast and a valedictorian, known for her passion for biology. On the morning of her death, she left her home on Manhattan Avenue to head to her summer job as a teacher at the Dayton Museum of Natural History. This was the last time her family saw her alive.
