On January 24, 1993, Cynthia Smith, a 20-year-old woman from Columbus, Ohio, was shot and killed on Oak Street in Franklin County. The incident occurred in the vicinity of 684 Oak Street when gunshots rang out, tragically striking Cynthia. She was pronounced dead on the same day.
