On August 19, 2008, Jonathan Gonzalez, aged 21, was fatally shot in East Oakland, California. Gonzalez, who was known by his street name "Redbone," was reportedly a member of the Acorn drug gang in West Oakland. The shooting occurred late at night, and Gonzalez died from his injuries the following morning. Another individual, identified as Gonzalez's 34-year-old cousin, was also wounded in the incident but survived.
