Matthew Solomon, aged 23, was killed in a gang-related shooting in San Francisco on September 4, 2008. He and his friend, Noel Espinoza, were both gunned down while standing on a street in the Mission District. The perpetrators, Josue Gonzalez, Eddie Urbina, and Luis Rojas, were reportedly members of a gang and targeted Solomon and Espinoza as part of a retaliatory attack, mistaking them for rival gang members.
