On May 3, 2001, Jayson Sims was tragically killed in a shooting incident that took place at the rear of a residence on E. Blake Avenue in Columbus, Ohio. He sustained two gunshot wounds to the trunk of his body, which ultimately led to his death. Sims' case was investigated by the Columbus Police Department, but despite efforts over the years, it remains an unsolved homicide.
