On December 3, 2003, 89-year-old Eldon Kenneth Conley was found dead following a suspicious house fire at his residence on East Main Street in Chillicothe, Ohio. Investigators determined that Conley had been fatally stabbed before the fire, which was set to obscure evidence of his homicide. Despite extensive efforts by the Chillicothe Police Department and the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation, the case remains unsolved. Initially, robbery was suspected as a potential motive.
