On July 23, 2006, Anthony L. Martin, a 17-year-old Black male from Columbus, Ohio, was found with a gunshot wound at 506 St. Clair Avenue. He succumbed to his injuries the same day. The Columbus Police Department investigated the case, but as of now, no arrests have been made, and the case remains unsolved.
Anthony was a member of the Original Glorious Church and was remembered fondly by his family and community.
He was survived by his mother, Tawanna Martin; father, Anthony Williams; brother, Anton Martin; and several sisters, nieces, nephews, and extended family members. His funeral services were held on July 28, 2006, at the Original Glorious Church of God in Christ in Columbus.
The Ohio Attorney General's Office continues to list Anthony Martin's case among its unsolved homicides. Law enforcement encourages anyone with information to come forward to assist in resolving this case.
