On June 10, 2008, the body of Angela Hanaway, aged 35, was found in the Mad River near the 2300 block of Dayton Road in Springfield, Ohio. Her body was discovered partially clothed and in a state of advanced decomposition, indicating that it had been in the water for some time. Angela had been reported missing prior to her discovery. The autopsy revealed that she suffered a violent death, although specific details about the cause of death have not been disclosed.
