On January 15, 2011, 38-year-old Christopher Hogrefe was found shot to death at his residence on Dakota Avenue in Columbus, Ohio. Hogrefe's death was reported after neighbors heard gunshots and called emergency services. Upon arriving at the scene, the police interviewed Hogrefe's roommate, who mentioned that he was upstairs at the time of the shooting.
