On October 3, 2009, Teklu Kinfe, a 25-year-old man from Fresno, California, was shot and killed in what appeared to be a targeted attack. Kinfe was found dead near East Olive and North Cedar Avenues in Fresno, an area known for frequent criminal activity. Law enforcement responded to reports of gunshots and discovered Kinfe had sustained fatal injuries.
