Justin Crutchfield, an 18-year-old from Cincinnati, Ohio, was fatally shot on the evening of June 22, 2015, in the Findlay Playground area of Over-the-Rhine. The shooting occurred around 7:20 p.m., near an area where a local anti-violence event had just concluded, underscoring the ongoing concerns about gun violence in the community. Police responded to the scene immediately, but Crutchfield succumbed to his injuries shortly afterward.
