On October 15, 2015, Bacilio Alcauter, aged 36, was tragically killed in a shooting at La Michoacana Market, located on Cleveland Avenue in Columbus, Ohio. The incident occurred around 8:40 p.m. when an unknown suspect entered the market armed with an assault rifle and opened fire. Bacilio Alcauter, who was working behind the counter, was shot and pronounced dead at the scene.
