On May 16, 2017, 21-year-old Allen Palmer was shot and killed in Columbus, Ohio. The incident occurred around 6:38 p.m. in the 1700 block of Sugarmaple Drive, near Parkmoor Elementary School. The shooting happened following an altercation between two young men in the front yard of a home. Allen Palmer was found by responding officers and was rushed to Riverside Methodist Hospital in critical condition, where he was pronounced dead at 9:50 p.m. that same evening.
