On the night of November 23, 2017, Dina Mosley, a 48-year-old woman, was found shot to death in her vehicle in the Roselawn neighborhood of Cincinnati, Ohio. The incident occurred around 10:40 p.m. while she was driving on Stonybrook Drive. Dina was later discovered parked in front of Nephews Bar on Reading Road. First responders rushed her to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center, but she was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.
Police have not released any suspect information, and the homicide remains unsolved to this day.
Dina's family has been vocal about their heartbreak and frustration with the lack of resolution in the case. Her niece, Shawnta Mosley, described Dina as a caring individual who was always there to offer support. The family continues to seek justice, and efforts have been made to keep the case visible in the hopes that someone will come forward with information. In an effort to generate new leads, a poster featuring Dina and 23 other women whose murders remain unsolved has been distributed in Ohio prisons and jails. The organization behind this initiative, "U Can Speak for Me," was founded by Hope Dudley, who herself lost a loved one to homicide. The hope is that someone who knows about Dina’s death will eventually speak out, bringing the family some long-awaited closure.
The Cincinnati Police Department and Crime Stoppers are urging anyone with information to contact them, with the possibility of remaining anonymous and receiving compensation for helpful tips. The investigation by the Homicide Unit is still ongoing, and the family holds out hope that justice will one day be served.
