A man dies of single gunshot wound during a robbery
On February 15, 1986, William Haygood, a motel clerk, was fatally shot during a robbery at the Econo Lodge Motel on Summit Avenue in Greensboro, North Carolina. Police were called to the scene and found Haygood unresponsive behind the counter. The investigation revealed that he had been shot once, and despite efforts to solve the case, it remains unsolved.
