A man is found beaten in his home
On June 15, 2001, Greensboro police responded to a call at 2620 Shady Lawn Drive, where they found 32-year-old Michael Edward Markwordt unconscious inside his residence. Markwordt was rushed to Moses Cone Hospital, but he later died from severe head injuries caused by a brutal beating. Despite the passage of time, the case remains unsolved. Investigators continue to seek information that could lead to the arrest of those responsible for Markwordt’s death.
