On April 12, 2009, Carlton Smith was found murdered in Greensboro, North Carolina. He was shot outside his residence in a case that remains unsolved. The Greensboro Police Department has continued to seek information related to this homicide, but despite their efforts, no significant leads have emerged. Smith's death remains one of many cold cases in Greensboro, where the lack of witnesses and evidence has hindered progress. His family and community still seek justice for his untimely death.
