On March 31, 2016, 21-year-old Lanaris Isabell was fatally shot in east Charlotte, North Carolina. Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department (CMPD) officers responded to a call around 11:30 p.m. on Atmore Street, where they discovered Isabell suffering from gunshot wounds. Despite immediate medical attention, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
The investigation revealed that Isabell had been involved in an argument prior to the shooting.
