On the first day of 2014, the life of 25-year-old Yolanda Singletary was tragically cut short in Buffalo, New York. In the early hours of New Year's Day, Singletary was fatally shot at the intersection of Genesee Street and Michigan Avenue. Her death marked the first homicide of the year in the city.
