In the winter of 2016, the life of 32-year-old Karon Slaughter, a Black male from Buffalo, New York, was tragically cut short. On January 10th, he was discovered on the city's East Side, having been fatally shot. The incident was a stark reminder of the persistent issue of gun violence within the community.
Despite the efforts of the Buffalo Police Department to investigate the homicide, the case has grown cold over the years. To date, there have been no significant breakthroughs in identifying a suspect or suspects responsible for Slaughter's death. The investigation remains open, but without any arrests made, justice for Karon Slaughter and his family remains elusive. His death is a painful and unresolved chapter in the city's history of violent crime.
