Larry Lacy, aged 20, was San Francisco's first homicide victim of 2011. He was shot multiple times at close range while sitting on a sidewalk in the Tenderloin neighborhood near Turk and Taylor Streets on the afternoon of January 1, 2011. The shooting occurred around 3:20 p.m., and the assailant fled the scene immediately afterward. Lacy was taken to San Francisco General Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
The police initiated an investigation and called for any witnesses to provide information to help solve the case.
