In the late hours of a summer night in Las Vegas, on August 20, 2007, the life of 69-year-old Terry James Haga, a Caucasian male retiree, was irrevocably altered. He was discovered lying next to his car in a neighbor's driveway on Northam Street, the victim of a brutal stabbing. A neighbor found him and promptly called for emergency services. Rushed to a local hospital, the initial prognosis seemed hopeful, with doctors believing he would survive the vicious attack.
Following his initial hospitalization, Haga was transferred to a rehabilitation center to continue his recovery. He was later moved to a second facility as he progressed towards an anticipated release. However, his family grew increasingly concerned about his health. Their worries prompted a transfer to a medical facility in Los Angeles County, California, for a higher level of care.
Despite the efforts of his medical teams, Terry James Haga's condition took a turn for the worse. Nearly four months after the initial assault, on the morning of December 12, 2007, he succumbed to complications from the stab wounds he had sustained. While the fatal assault occurred in Las Vegas, his death in California led to his case being recorded as a Los Angeles County homicide. To date, there have been no publicly available reports of any arrests made in connection with the attack, and the identity of any suspect or suspects remains unknown.
