Shane McElroy, a 37-year-old Las Vegas resident, was fatally shot by his wife, Ericka McElroy, on October 7, 2009. The incident occurred outside their home in the southwest Las Vegas Valley. According to police reports, the couple had been involved in a domestic dispute, during which Ericka shot Shane in the chest with a shotgun.
