In the pre-dawn hours of July 16, 2010, the life of 28-year-old African-American Robert Waddell was tragically cut short in a violent encounter in Las Vegas, Nevada. Waddell, also known by the moniker "Rob-Loc," was driving his distinctive large red car with oversized wheels in the central valley when he was shot. Despite his grave injuries, he managed to drive to a nearby AM/PM gas station at 1500 W.

At approximately 5:30 a.m., a clerk at the convenience store placed a frantic 911 call. Waddell had managed to exit his vehicle and make his way to the entrance of the store before collapsing at the front doors. When patrol officers and medical personnel arrived at the scene, they discovered Waddell suffering from the gunshot wounds. He was rushed to the University Medical Center's trauma center, but his injuries proved to be fatal, and he was pronounced deceased.
The investigation into Robert Waddell's death has since turned into a long-standing cold case. Despite the passage of time, the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department has not publicly identified any suspects in the shooting, and no arrests have been made. The motive behind the killing remains unknown, leaving Waddell's family and community without answers or a sense of justice.
