In the early hours of July 28, 2014, a house party in Las Vegas turned tragic, ending the life of 20-year-old African-American male, Morland Antwon Richey-Elder. The gathering, held at a rented home at 8813 Barium Rock Ave., was attended by nearly 80 people. Richey-Elder had reportedly left the party but returned just minutes before gunfire erupted outside near the driveway. He was shot in the neck at what police described as nearly point-blank range.
