Jerry Rivera, a 45-year-old man from Rincon, Georgia, was found dead in his home on Ellis Drive on February 1, 2025. Authorities from the Effingham County Sheriff's Office determined that his death was the result of a murder-suicide. Rivera had invited 57-year-old Robert Kenny to his home that afternoon. At some point during their interaction, Rivera shot Kenny multiple times with a shotgun and then proceeded to stab him several times before turning the gun on himself.
