On a spring evening in Minneapolis, the life of 24-year-old JaChaun Marquis Ferguson, an African-American male, was tragically cut short. On May 7, 2013, Ferguson was in the 2300 block of Sheridan Avenue North when he was fatally shot. The Hennepin County Medical Examiner's Office later confirmed that the cause of his death was a gunshot wound to the head, and the manner of death was officially ruled a homicide.
